A handful of protesters picketed outside the court, chanting slogans and holding placards in support of Tong Ying-kit. Lawrence Lok Ying-kam, a lawyer for Tong Ying-kit, could also be seen leaving the court without releasing any statements. Tong Ying-kit was accused of deliberately driving his motorcycle into a group of police officers during a protest.
